The bandwith (speed and power) of the Internet line is defined by the supplier of the Internet connection. Therefore the choice of the speed of the line is set by the establishment.

  What is Wi-Fi Technology?

Why does Eye-In use the Wi-Fi 802.11b-g wireless standard?

The 802.11b/G Wi-Fi standard is so widely accepted that it's become the de facto industry standard for wireless networking. Many laptop manufacturers actually include Wi-Fi cards in standard configurations.

What do I do when I get to a location?

All you need to do is open up a web browser in any Eye-In location. Our hardware automatically redirects you to Eye-In login screen.

Can I get online right away?

Yes! With a prepaid card or Once you've signed up, your account is active and ready to use.

I don't have a wireless network card. Where can I get one?

It's actually up to your company. You can connect to your company's network if your company allows remote access. As an extra security measure, many companies use VPNs, or Virtual Private Networks. Eye-In is generally compatible with this software.

What do I do when the Internet workstation or my laptop freezes?

Power off and on your laptop. For the Internet workstations, power off and on the tower - not the monitor.

Why does my laptop keep disconnecting from Eye-In Wireless and connecting to other wireless networks instead?

From time to time, it is possible that your computer may perceived another wireless signal as being "stronger" and then decide to switch to this strong signal. This can particularly happen if you tried to connect to another wireless network and then decided to connect to Eye-In Wireless.

To resolve this issue, you must remove the other wireless networks from your preferred wireless network list (find this under Advanced Wireless Settings), that way your laptop doesn't automatically connect to that other network.
